This is such a good F2P kart-racing style game, the local multiplayer (split screen on consoles and PC) isn't paywalled and you can use any racer you want.

The PVE aspect and special events is where the grind starts which is understandable for a free to play game, and I've been playing this game since they made it free (it used to be a paid game).

What grinds my gears are the sneaky ways they're trying to make the players to actually pay real money to buy the battle/golden (it used to be straightforward that you can actually buy it using in-game earned credits/tokens). But now they hide it. THEY NEVER TELL YOU that you can purchase this one special token using earned in-game tokens, then you can use that to buy the actual "golden ". THEY NEVER EXACTLY MENTIONED WHAT THAT SPECIAL TOKEN DOES AT ALL, tricking players into thinking that the only way to get the golden is to pay real money. Disgusting move Disney/Gameloft.
