Titanfall® 2

I was fortunate enough to play both Titanfall and Titanfall 2 and both are amazing games even till today.

Though Titanfall 1 may not have a singleplayer campaign instead it was multiplayer and has online co-op missions & it's a shame that it has been shutdown. We titanfall fans are eager to know what the next titanfall game will be and we are tempted to hear the iconic line “Stand by for Titanfall ”

This Review was done after 150+ hours of gameplay

ＴＩＴＡＮＦＡＬＬ 2 is a masterpiece of a game and a forgotten star in modern gaming history.

Introduction:

Titanfall 2 is a first-person shooter with a unique blend of mech combat and parkour movement. Developed by Respawn Entertainment, it's a sequel to the original Titanfall and improves upon its predecessor in many ways.

Campaign:

Here you play as Jack Cooper with BT 7274.

Bravo Tango 7274 or better know as BT 7274 is a vanguard class titan. The campaign is a very well thought campaign as it has fun, scary, adrenaline rushing and emotional as well. You continue and bond with BT 7274 through the entire game. BT 7274 is awesome as not only he is smart. He is capable of showing emotions and also capable of responding to emotions as well and he can detect sarcasm. as well which is not a very common thing noticed in other Mech related games.

BT has 3 protocols and each of them are unique

Protocol One: Link to Pilot
Protocol Two: Uphold the Mission
Protocol Three: Protect the Pilot

As Jack you get to use different kind of weapons starting from SMG's , LMG's , Shotguns , Pistols, Snipers , Assault rifles , Rocket launchers and more.

BT also has his unique set of weapons:-

One of my favourite mission is “The Effect and Cause” mission in Titanfall 2 is a masterclass of a level design. This mission integrates time manipulation mechanics, allowing players to rewind, pause, and fast-forward through time. The level's pacing is perfectly balanced, with a mix of action, exploration, and puzzle-solving.

One of my fav cut scenes in the campaign.

( Initially I ed a 2K video but it wasn't ing so has to reduce the quality of the video and the sounds are lower than i thought. Apologies for that )

One of my personal favourites lines from BT is "A human's concept of love requires iration, attraction, Devotion and respect. Conclusion: I am 50% in love "

When BT said “I will not lose another pilot. Engaging Protocol 3 - Protect the pilot” that hits very hard.

Out of all the of the Apex predators which includes

1.) Blisk, (most respectful towards the player)

2.) Kane, (is a asshole)

3.) Richter (is overconfident)

4.) Slone, (annoying yet respectful)

5,) Ash (a minor inconvenient simulacrum)

6,) Viper (has awesome dialogues and rightfully trashes us)

For me Viper from Apex predator along with his Northstar is the most badass boss in the game. And his pilot suit also looks amazing with mechanical hands. His Northstar is far more advanced in of weapons and with better flying system than any other Northstar in this game, the colour scheme is also great.

Some of my favourite dialogues from Viper:-

(1) When you got hell, tell'em viper sent you.

(2) Voodoo one, Viper on station. Your journey ends here pilot, the skies belongs to me. Nowhere to run, no where to hide.

(3) Let me introduce you to the ground.

(4) Viper got you in the pipe 5 by 5.

(5) Speed is life.

(6) You are just too weak for the skies son.

In the last 2nd mission BT 7274 frame structure gets destroyed while saving jack and Slone destroys the remaining but jack pulls out BT's data core and inserts it into the new vanguard class titan, which leads to a reunion but the reunion it temporary.

As in the end BT hurls Cooper free before sacrificing himself , destroying the Ark , Fold weapon , and the planet itself. Though his death is not confirmed and hopefully he is alive which is believed as seen in the post credit scene. BT's last words were "Trust me Cooper".

Multiplayer:

Here's a review of Titanfall 2's multiplayer mode in 11 points:

6. Titan gameplay is a game changer: The ability to summon and control a Titan adds a new layer of strategy and complexity to the game.

7. Pilot gameplay is very exciting: The game's Pilot gameplay is just as exciting as the Titan gameplay, with a focus on quick reflexes and agile movement.

8. Good balance between pilot and titan: The game strikes a good balance between Pilots and Titans, making sure that neither is overpowered.

9. Strong community: The Titanfall 2 community is strong and active, with many players participating in competitive play and sharing their experiences online.

10. Some players may find the multiplayer gameplay very challenging: The game's mechanics and systems can be overwhelming for new players, making it challenging to learn and improve.

11. Lack of players in certain modes: Some multiplayer modes, like Frontier Defense, Tower defense, Hard point, Bounty Hunt etc may have a lack of players, making it difficult to find matches.

Pros:

1. Innovative Mech Combat: Titanfall 2's mech battles are intense and satisfying, with a variety of Titans to choose from, each with unique abilities.

2. Fluid Parkour Mechanics: The game's movement mechanics are smooth and responsive, making navigating the environment a joy.

3. Amazing Single player Campaign: The story is well-written, with a strong focus on character development and emotional depth.

4. Multiplayer: Various modes, including Capture the Flag and Last Titan Standing etc offer something for every player.

5. Visuals and sounds: The game looks and sounds great, with detailed environments and realistic sound effects.

6. Varity of Titans: In multiplayer there are 7 titans that can be choosen by the player and each of the 7 titans are different and unique in different ways.

The 7 titans are:-

- Legion--->(Machine gun goes brrt)

- Scorch--->(flames go wild)

- Monarch--->(battery & upgradable)

- Tone--->(Targeting Rocket mayhem)

- Ion--->(laser supermacy)

- Northstar--->(flightcore activated)

- Brute--->(quadrocket enjoyer)

- Ronin--->(slice and shoot)

Cons:

1. Difficult Learning Curve: Mastering mech combat and movement takes time and practice.

2. Limited Titan Customization: Compared to other mech games, Titan customization options are limited

3. Some Multiplayer Mode feel Imbalanced: Certain modes, like Bounty Hunt, Tower defense, Hard point etc can feel unfair or unbalanced at times.

Overall: Titanfall 2 is an excellent game that improves upon the original in many ways. The innovative mech combat, fluid movement, and engaging campaign make it a must-play for fans of first-person shooters and mech games.
