Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp has shut down after celebrating its 7th anniversary

In recent news Nintendo have decided to shut down Pocket Camp. The game was released in 2017 as a mobile-only version of the popular life simulation game 'Animal Crossing'.

Nintendo's answer to question about the games shut down was announcing an offline Paid version of the game that will feature no in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Reactions to this announcement has been mixed from fans of the game. Some are welcoming an app version does not require WiFi connection while others are disappointed at the app being an experience they must pay for.
