I'm not dead, yet.
This is my so-called "unbiased" review of this particular racing games.
First things first
I’m not some racing game expert, nor do I claim to be. I just like to go fast, gotta go fast heh. That being said, here’s my "totally fair" and "objective" review.
Review:
Graphics: Still looks great even years later. Water effects 🤤, and environments are all solid. Not the most realistic thing ever, but it doesn’t need to be.
Performance: Runs smooth as butter. No lag spikes, no frame drops—just pure, uninterrupted hydrojet going weeeeeeee.
Gameplay: The sense of speed is amazing. The water physics? Chef’s kiss. The tracks? Well-designed and complete with cool shortcuts (Unicorn Base supremacy).
Krex is an unfair, cheating bastard who needs to be humbled.
Controls: Simple and responsive. No weird mechanics or overcomplicated inputs. Just turn, boost, and pray you don’t hit anything. (Stunts are another story. Let’s not talk about that)
Music: Is exactly what you’d expect from a futuristic arcade racer. Heavy on electronic sounds, synths, and bass drops—which gives off a "high-tech underground racing league" feel. It fits the vibe honestly, it complements the gameplay perfectly. You’ll enjoy it while playing, but you probably won’t be humming it later (but the menu music is stuck in my head)
Does it enhance the experience? Absolutely.
Is it the greatest racing game soundtrack ever? Not really, but it does its job well.
Progression: Decent enough.
But Krex is still a menace to society.
This game is a solid arcade racer. No ads, no microtransaction nonsense, just good old-fashioned racing with some over-the-top stunts. If you enjoy fast-paced racing with great water physics, this is a must-play.
Final rating: 4.7 out of 5 (Krex prevents it from being a 5/5)
Jk
10/10, no drama, will recommend.
That’s my “totally unbiased” review. If you have a different experience, that’s cool—I guess.
Ciao, Adios
