This sequel introduces new mechanics like peeking around corners and stunning guards, but most of them are either poorly implemented or not very useful. The graphics show slight improvement while keeping the same low poly style. The story is minimal—you're just back to stealing after some time. There’s a tutorial that explains everything well, but in practice, the new features don’t add much value.
The sound and music remain mediocre. Controls can't be customized or have their opacity adjusted, which is uncomfortable. The game feels too long: levels drag on, and replaying them becomes tedious. Lockpicks are fairly priced, but the issue is needing to replay levels just to earn enough in-game money to buy both lockpicks and accessories like masks or outfits, which quickly increase in price. Once you beat a level and learn the route, it becomes too easy and loses all excitement, making replays boring.
Difficulty is poorly balanced—you can walk slowly in front of enemies without being detected. There are more maps and levels, but the repetition wears things out fast. Replay value is low. On the bright side, performance is smooth. It's also nice that enemies are now more humanoid, there's a new and better menu, and progress can be saved in the cloud.
Verdict: more content, but held back by poor pacing, repetition, and shallow mechanics.
