Endless Nightmare 6: Reborn is a masterpiece hidden in plain sight, baring similarities to Elder Scrolls & souls-like genre.
Following in the footsteps of Endless Nightmare 5, this version has adapted on the very diverse series, leaning towards a RPG element of gameplay with looting (rarities), upgradable skill trees and attributes.
Here's a breakdown of the games core:
Visually:
Utilising ultra graphic settings (although maybe not as pristine as some titles out there) it bares stunning visuals for a mobile game. With solid frames,  minimal lag, offering options up to 120Fps; just adds to the seamless, in- your-face combat. Each various character model feels handcrafted with love and attention to detail, from armor designs, to scales, to lava monsters and even spiders. Spread across a sizeable map for a mobile device, encoming several hours of gameplay.
Gameplay:
With an intricate, refined combat system and diverse variation of weapon types & armours pays homage to that of a modern RPG. Fighting against the infected population of Panlong you have a arsenal of up to 6 weapon types, from spears and broad swords, to talismans & dusters; not forgetting your ranged attack the Orb (more on that in a moment).
To go with this ensemble of weapons are a variety of armors, like weapons, ranging in rarities from common, rare, peerless, all the way to legendary (and beyond). These are assorted via 3 categories, heavy, medium and light. One sacrificing stamina for increased armor and vice versa. Back to the orbs they themselves have your basic version, but if you're lucky enough that RNG blesses you, then there is also elemental orb options  at legendary basis, which can cause afflictions.
On that note another interesting mechanic is spells, based off the 5 elements (water, fire, earth, lightning and wind) each enemy you encounter will have weakness to one or, more these elements, so implementing these can be the difference from defeat and a win. Each spell also has it's own upgradable tree via in game items found called Chakra's, from increasing the spells damage (fireball to firestorm) to providing buffs or, debuffs, like I said intricate!
While gameplay has remnants of souls-like gameplay, soul lanterns replacing bonfires, bosses and elites spread throughout the map, upgradable weapons with ores, hidden areas or, secret bosses etc. The map also has varying other areas underground, inside a painting, through caves etc and finally upgradable Calabash (essentially a flask like Estus) which heals you.
Mechanics:
So, in to the actual Mechanics. You have the option to switch your current active weapon and align up to 6 other types of spells (I am unsure if you can equipped multiple weapons but, I will check this). You have a dodge button to evade, along with a strafing mechanic implemented into your sprint button. There also a special ability button I'm yet to unlock. Along with this a further upgrading system called talents, which unlocks via progression the further enables development of your particular style of gameplay/build.
Conclusion:
The game due to perhaps being in a series might be overlooked, at least was by me. However, since playing I can confidently say it's a breath of fresh air to play a diverse, well designed, souls-like, refined game such as this. The fluid combat system, various difficult bosses that keep you on your toes, large arsenal of upgradable weapons and armor, fairly immersing story and large explorative open world makes this a gem hidden in plain sight.
Cons:
Like most games there are some caveats:
• Occasional drop in performance can mean taking a hit when you avoided it
• After every death there is a brief 5 second ad (but come on, it's a free large open world, so it's not so bad; plus for 0.89c you can go ad free)
• Getting stuck sometimes when trying to climb down from a cliff or, object forcing to need to teleport to a lantern respawing all mobs
• To activate dark resurgence - a mechanic that allows you to reset all world bosses and elites - requires you to watch a 30s ad
