Sometimes tedious to play and repetative when new content is not available, but I find myself returning to this game again and again. The story is interesting and the characters are wonderful!

The gameplay could use some polishing but other than that it has a rich story and well written characters which makes it easy to get immersed in the game :)

Incredible writing, Character Design, World Building… Easily My Favourite Mobile Game
Although the international version of the game still has some gameplay issues that have been mostly resolved by the JP version, i overall give this game a 5/5. - one of my favourite things about the game is the incredible character design, the behaviour, background, hobbies, physical design and voice acting is highly thought out and i can not think of an official piece of content of a character being out of place or mischaracterized. Each character is based off of a character or concept from each of their respective movies, such as Azul being based off of Ursula from the Little Mermaid. The way that they are inspired and twisted into being an interpretation yet accurate portrayal of their inspired character is genius and I expected nothing less from Yana Toboso. I recommend playing through the story or side stories to understand what i mean. 📖 Storyline: - the story. The way that Yana twists the original plot of the disney renaissance movies is absolutely beautiful. You are already attached to the characters and only get more attached in the beginnings of every book and other gameplay aspects. Yana utilizes this as the main themes of each book fleshes out and explains the main 7 characters motives and backstory. The story is heart wrenching and thrilling and although there are a few changes that i think could be added to make the story more enhanced, especially in the earlier books(although book 1 ties as my favourite book), each story has impacted me in so many ways. This is especially because the main theme is messaged through the main villains point of view and you can’t help but relate or understand them in deeper ways. The story cuts to the main points and is delivered in a entertaining and engaging pace, making it an incredibly enjoyable read. Additionally the expressions play of in-game sprites and noises makes you immersed and visually interested. I also love how in the next main story book the previous characters who used to be the antagonists actually help you defeat the next antagonist which i find fulfilling and continuous. 🎮 Gameplay: - now if im going into the gameplay. To make it brief, my thoughts are that its very straightforward and incredibly easy. The game has a gacha system in which you spend in game currency to get cards that help in battles that you need to complete in the story and to add more character lore. in my experience i believe it varies from each player but the gacha rate of the cards is much higher than other gacha games i have played before, i commonly get the event SSR in the 20-40th pull. Acquiring gems is fairly easy as an active player, weekly missions giving up to 53 gems and simply logging in every day gives you 40 per week. To level up these cards you must do lessons which grind your selected cards exp in either card levels, buddy levels or the cards vignettes. I find this aspect of gameplay in a more positive light as i think its simply more idle and less stressful, though it’s not very riveting(there is also the guest room that unlocks after fulfilling certain requirements that serves as a cute custom room for your favourite characters and a way to further level up your cards). Updates have been added to allow a daily 10 lesson skipping and increased drop rates, helping card grinding much easier. The most riveting gameplay aspect to me is the battles because i love guessing the opponents next move and seeing how strong my cards have gotten with my efforts, the turn based battles are less stressful and easy which many would prefer. It would be fun to me if it was more thrilling and engaging like a real time battle but thinking about the game Twisted Wonderland is the more simple turn based battle fits highly better. 🎨 Graphics: 🎵 Sound: 🎬 Presentation: - the outfits, cg, art, bg, bgm and different event designs are well thought out and created as it fits each theme and story incredibly well. The new designs, cg and outfits makes cards extremely desirable even if its a character you may not like. The music can be beautifully composed and fun, depending on the theme of the story. You can tell everyone who contributes to the game puts a lot of thought and time into everything. In conclusion i think this game deserves more apreciation and recognition than its getting currently, and it may be because of the slow impression the gameplay gives initially. So i urge those who read this give the game a thorough and fair chance, because even if you are a casual there are more gameplay aspects that you and help you progress with ease. This is the one game i can not stop playing, and continue to love with all my heart— I am proud to say that Twisted Wonderland is my favourite mobile game of all time.

Extremely addictive game!!! There was a good amount of time where I couldn’t put it down. Doing lessons to level your cards can get repetitive but they recently added a skip feature that allows you to skip 10 lessons per day, which is great. The story is gripping and very emotional, gameplay is straight forward and easy to figure out. Nearly all scenes are voiced, which I enjoy. Its practically an anime in a game.
