Sumire

Sumire has to be one of the best story driven games I have ever played. It combines so many different gameplay elements along with a emotional story. The young girl Sumire is met by a golden seed that busts through her window one night. After planting the seed in a pot, she awakens the next morning to find a big lively flower. The flower talks to Sumire and tells her it has only but 1 day to live and needs her help. The main point of the story is about overcoming fear and living the day as if it were your last. The flower helps the girl accomplish so many things in just 1 day making it... the perfect day. 

I understand that the girl needs to fulfill everything written in her diary notebook and somehow I can feel the little kid's emotions. I also felt sad while playing it since I my late grandfather playing it. It didn't cost me much and I'm grateful to play it since I'm learning a lot too. I mean it!

Hmmm, I was just playing and going with the flow. I was expecting it to be more like a treasure hunt, but there were no missing items to look for. And I'm a little confused now. Remind me again why I purchased this one?

I love the flow of the story and every little detail of it means a lot to me being with a childish imagination. I find her cute and all with her being able to talk about everything she walks by. I think the game made me play it a little longer because of the setup and the music -- it's very soothing.

Sumire ($5.99), an emotional narrative adventure game, was released as a iOS app by GameTomo in April. After the PC and Nintendo Switch versions, the iOS edition was released. In Sumire, a one-day journey through a beautiful Japanese village, you assume the character of Sumire, who is attempting to assist a spirit in seeing as much of the human world as possible in one day.
