Fatih Beceren
MoreA dystopian survival experience inspired by George Orwell's 1984. In Monthly Dystopia, you need to find a way to survive in an authoritarian world. You can serve the dictatorship by being a model citizen or you can try to flee the country by cooperating with the Resistance. Choose your words wisely if you don't want to commit a thought crime. , there's always a screen watching you. The paycheck from your job at the ministry editing the past is barely enough to buy the food needed to keep you alive, so it is crucial that you find a way to flee this dystopia where even thinking is forbidden. You can serve as a loyal citizen, fall in love and constantly fear getting caught, work with the Resistance against the dictatorship, and choose freedom or servitude. The daily tasks you perform in your apartment are your only way to survive. that your time is just as limited as your supplies. Another game I'll be crazy about

Geez, I have found another game with super great quality and standards. All the storylines and conversations were on point. I just have some advice to play it in a well-lit environment because the game is not a fan of colorful scenery, everything is just black and white. Still, I adolize the developers! I didn't get a chance to play it longer, but I will stick to this one until I finish it.

Cool game

Not a huge fan of text-heavy games (cause many of them got me bored really fast with loads of dialogue and slow story progression, which made me feel that I was reading some kind of textbook). But this one's pretty unique, in of the topic and the general mechanics, reminding me of Beholder as well when it comes to the general vibe. Could have a try if you are quite into this topic or the text-based style.

Papers, Please has long been one of my favorite games of all time, so the concept of Monthly Dystopia instantly appealed to me. This might not be quite as groundbreaking as Papers, Please, but it gets a lot closer than I would have expected! As the name suggests, Monthly Dystopia casts you as a drone working for the propaganda department of a 1984-style authoritarian government. Your daily grind is disrupted when a local elderly care center is burned down and your grandfather comes to live with you for a month. Before long, you find yourself caught up in a plot with local resistance forces that could end in you escaping this broken country—if you survive.

It requires a lot of thinking!

I'm glad I found a game that actually has an impact when I play it. All those times, I just find something that isn't challenging or needs some improvement. I mean, this game is a little complex but it makes my brain think outside the box and look for clues just to finish the tasks. I'm glad I found this gem on the App Store.

I did not regret buying this game

I already saw a sample gameplay of it here on TapTap and it caught my interest quickly. I love the concept of it like a prisoner and you're guarded by a higher being. Watching every move you make. There are also some scenes that touched me because I also lived with my grandparents when I was a kid. I rarely buy a game and buying this game was not part of my plan, but I did have fun playing it.
