Yggdrasil 2: Awakening

If you've ever played an idle combat-based gacha game, you'll know exactly what to expect from Yggdrasil 2: Awakening. I don't mind idle games nor gacha, but they really need something to help them stick out from the dozens of options out there, and unfortunately, this game doesn't have much of anything. The closest thing Yggdrasil 2 has to a unique hook is its setting. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where the protagonist teams up with a bunch of chibi anime ladies to try to survive and build a way forward.

Gameplay is cutesy when you are in battle, but you will be able to see the "not chibi" appearances when you are in the lobby. The catch is yes, it is a Gacha game so there will be whales, especially on Arena, but the rewards are pretty good so far, especially if you played this early on release. The tier list is there and, well, if you like to re-roll, you can. If you like this kind of game and you like to get waifus or husbandos try it lol.

The game has a gacha system where you would be testing your luck in order to get the strongest characters in the game. I was really hoping that the game was like an open-world RPG, but this is a turn-based strategy game where you test your line-up against different enemies. I would say this is a decent game, but I'm not a total fan of animation and audio.

Seeing those small versions of the characters cast with the flashiest skills is really entertaining to watch. I love that they have cool varieties of the skillsets which makes it addictive to play. Well, to get the best ones, you really have to rely on your luck to get them since it has a gacha for them. I enjoy the game, and I'm really gonna give this a good rating.
